This Privacy Policy explains how Pausselle collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iPhone app for shoe rest, care, and rotation.

1. Information we collect

Pausselle collects only what is needed to run the app:

Anonymous account ID: On first launch, the app creates a random anonymous identifier so your pairs and care history can sync. No email, phone number, or sign-in is required.
Shoe profiles: Shoe type, material, optional comfort concerns, nickname, and sort order for pairs you add.
Care log: Wear, rest, and care events you log (including day intensity, moisture exposure, and optional notes), plus snapshot data stored with each entry.
Optional photos: Cover images you choose to attach to a pair.
Device identifier: A device-level identifier may be used to restore your anonymous session after reinstall.
App preferences: Notification settings and app state needed for rotation and care reminders.
Install attribution & analytics: When configured, we may collect an AppsFlyer identifier, install source or campaign metadata, and product interaction events (such as app opens and feature usage) to understand how the app is used and discovered.
Device advertising identifier (IDFA): On iOS, only if you tap Allow on Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt, described below.

Pausselle includes no payment processing or in-app purchases.

2. How we use your information

Provide rotation guidance, Shoe Card advice (Rest, Clean, Pad), Compare, Care log, and Insights.
Sync pairs, logs, and optional photos across sessions on your anonymous account.
Send care reminders when you enable them in Me.
Measure install attribution and marketing performance through our analytics partner when the app is configured to do so.
Respond to support requests when you contact us.

3. Photos & photo library

You pick shoe type and material from lists when adding a pair. Optional photos are cover images only.
With your permission, you may attach photos from your library as pair cover images or save exported images back to your library.
Uploaded pair photos are stored for your account and sync service only.

4. Notifications

Pausselle can send reminders for rest, care, and rotation when you enable Care reminders in Me. You can turn them off in the app at any time, or disable notifications for Pausselle in iOS Settings.

5. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On supported iOS versions, Pausselle may show Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt on first launch. The system dialog asks whether Pausselle may track your activity across other companies’ apps and websites. Our in-app explanation states that we use this to understand how you found the app and to measure marketing performance.

If you allow tracking: Our attribution partner (AppsFlyer) may receive your device advertising identifier (IDFA) and use it for install and campaign measurement.
If you ask not to track: Pausselle continues to work normally. We may still use limited attribution signals that do not require tracking permission, such as an AppsFlyer identifier or organic install metadata.
Your control: You can change this choice anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

We do not sell your data to advertisers. Attribution data is used to understand marketing performance, not to deliver third-party ads inside Pausselle.

6. Where data is stored

Pairs, care logs, and optional photos may be stored on secure cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest.
A local copy may remain on your device for offline use and faster loading.
Rule content (shoe types, materials, care guidance) ships inside the app as bundled reference material.

7. Analytics & attribution

Pausselle may use AppsFlyer for install attribution and marketing measurement. This can include an AppsFlyer identifier, campaign or media-source metadata, and aggregated product interaction events. If you grant tracking permission on iOS, an advertising identifier (IDFA) may also be shared with AppsFlyer for attribution purposes.

Some attribution fields may be stored with your anonymous account during signup or sync so installs can be measured consistently. Your care log and shoe profiles are used only to provide app features, not for advertising profiles.

8. Third-party services

Cloud API: Anonymous authentication, sync, and optional photo storage.
AppsFlyer: Install attribution, campaign measurement, and aggregated in-app event analytics. See AppsFlyer’s Privacy Policy.

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy.

9. Data retention

Your data remains stored until you delete your account from the Me tab.
Deleting your account permanently removes your pairs, care log, uploaded photos, and synced account data from our servers, subject to routine backup expiry.
Local copies on your device are cleared when you sign out or remove the app.

10. Your choices

Update pairs, logs, and notification settings in the app at any time.
Control iOS tracking permission in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Delete individual pairs from Me → Your pairs.
Delete your entire account from Me → Delete account.

11. Children’s privacy

Pausselle is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate consent where required by law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above will change when we do. Continued use of Pausselle after an update means you accept the revised policy.
